I don&#8217;t know where this came from, but this is a haiku I wrote in 3rd grade for a writing contest in my elementary school in Los Angeles. I put together a little book of poems and drawings\u00a0and, to my amazement,\u00a0I won 1st place in the district. I really wish I had kept the book and the award; I have no clue where they ended up.<\/p>\n<p>To the best of my memory, here is the only poem that I can remember:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Hard Working Ants<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The hard working ants<\/p>\n<p>Build their nests and get no rest<\/p>\n<p>And work all day long.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, I&#8217;m underwhelmed, too.
